Definition / description
this is a little thing -- is it centered
width test - no margin, no border, no padding, maxwidth 762
This diagram is intended to show several simple examples of hierarchical form and classification, emphasizing the vertical axis ranging from lower levels to higher levels, and defining this range within the upper and lower bounds of "the strip".
The red lines across the top and bottom of this form are boundaries -- they are limits, they are "the edges of the closed loop" as seen in the flat plane -- and in the closed loop, they connect to form one single edge.
We are asking some questions, like "what happens when these limit-edges come closer together, or indeed merge to form one line, one edge?" Is that even possible? Can we really compress all this complexity into one infinitesimal infinitely-thin narrow line -- without losing data and specific detail?
