"Resonance" is an emerging new concept in group spirituality. It refers to an energy connection or harmony that can emerge between people, in ways that can have striking and deep spiritual implications.
Resonance can be enhanced by shared meaning or common intention, but it can also emerge at surprising and unanticipated moments, sometimes with deep and inspiring intensity.
Through Lightweavers, we are developing a "Theology of Resonance". Click here to become involved. Two Interspirit networks that are exploring resonance:
A primary source for practical information on resonance is The Co-Creator's Handbook, by Carolyn Anderson and Katharine Roske, available for purchase on the Internet at http://www.globalfamily.net. Carolyn Anderson is a close associate and co-worker with Barbara Marx Hubbard. Two wonderful books that review the basic principles of this philosophy and practice (not explicitly using the term "resonance") are The Sacred Art of Listening and Practicing the Sacred Art of Listening, by URI Global Council Member and North American Interfaith Network leader Kay Lindahl. Her organization is called The Listening Center, and the website is http://www.sacredlistening.com/ These books can be purchased there. |
